Shannon Campion

Executive Director

Before joining Farmed Animal Funders, Shannon spent twenty years in the public education advocacy space, most recently as President at Stand for Children, a national organization at the forefront of the fight for educational equity. She had the incredible fortune to help build Stand for Children, alongside remarkable leaders, into a highly impactful organization with 115 staff and a $20+ million combined 501c(3) and c(4) budget. Shannon was Board Chair of The Humane League for 4 years and an Advisory Board member for Madre Brava.

Zoë Sigle

Director of Philanthropic Advising & Programs

Zoë builds out member programming and provides philanthropic advising. She also currently serves as an Animal Welfare Fund Manager with Effective Altruism Funds. Previously, Zoë led an international team at Mercy For Animals in partnering with global food companies to develop meaningful farmed animal welfare policies. She holds a Master of Food and Agriculture Law and Policy degree from Vermont Law School and a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies.

Megan Nelson

Operations and Community Manager

Megan is responsible for ensuring efficient internal operations and supporting impactful, high-quality programming and events. She joined Farmed Animal Funders after an eleven-year career as a social worker, primarily in New York City, where she oversaw a city-funded program supporting family caregivers.

Vanessa Johansson

European Philanthropy Specialist

Vanessa leads Farmed Animal Funders’ philanthropic outreach and engagement across the UK and Europe, working to expand funding for farmed animal welfare initiatives. She brings with her experience in the nonprofit sector, having worked at Advocates for Animals and The Animal Law Foundation, as well as co-founding the Solberga Foundation, focused on meaningful change for animal and environmental initiatives. Passionate about donor engagement, she connects funders with high-impact opportunities to drive effective progress for farmed animals.

Elliot Teperman

Programs Contractor

Elliot supports the team across events, strategy, communications, and research. Previously, Elliot worked in London as the Programs and Grants Manager at the Jeremy Coller Foundation (focused on ending factory farming), and before that, he researched the moral psychology of meat consumption and speciesism at Oxford and Melbourne University.
